28 years ago today, The Notorious B.I.G. released his second and final studio album, “Life After Death,” on March 25, 1997. It was released 16 days after his murder.

The project features collaborations with 112, Jay-Z, Lil Kim, Ma$e, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Too Short, Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC, R. Kelly, The LOX, and Puff Daddy.

“Life After Death” sold 690,000 copies in its first week, peaking at #1 on the Billboard 200. The album is widely considered to be one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time.
