Offset has expressed that a joint album with Quavo could be a possibility in the future.
In an interview on Apple Music, the rapper shared his openness to collaborating with Quavo again, particularly as a tribute to their late Migos bandmate, Takeoff.
Offset reflected on the idea, saying: “It’s possible. No conversations about that, though, but it’s possible. First, we’re just checking in with each other and see each other’s worlds: ‘You good?’”
The Atlanta rapper also admitted to his role in creating tension between himself and Quavo, acknowledging his past mistakes.
“I’ve accepted the actions I’ve done to cause certain situations to happen — I had to. But at first I didn’t. I was trying to act tough and like I didn’t give a fuck at first. But the actions that I did in the time I was acting that way, I realized I was wrong. I realized I was wrong and had to get out of the way. I’m happy with everything and I want the best.”
Offset has recently hinted that his relationship with Quavo is in a better place than it has been in years. Speaking during an interview on “7PM In Brooklyn,” he dismissed online speculation about ongoing rifts between them.
“It be the internet trying to do some old shit, but with us, it ain’t about that. We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime.”
“In the day, a n-gga ain’t finna play with him, or a n-gga ain’t finna play with me.”
Over the years, rumors about their strained relationship have circulated widely, including speculation fueled by their seating arrangement at an NBA game and reports of an altercation backstage at the Grammys. Offset refuted those claims on Twitter at the time, stating: “What tf look like fighting my brother yal n-ggas is crazy.”
Despite the ups and downs, the two reunited to honor Takeoff during the 2023 BET Awards, performing a medley of hits including “Hotel Lobby” and “Bad and Boujee.”
Their comeback moment left fans hopeful for continued healing and potential collaborations in the future.
