Offset reflects deeply on the loss of Takeoff in the heartfelt track “Never Let Go” from his latest album “KIARA”.

In the song, the rapper revisits poignant memories and expresses his grief over the untimely death of his fellow Migos member. He conveys his sorrow with lines like: “Play back all the memories, hoping they don’t fade / Bando to the jet, jet to the stage / Hard to see my n-gga in that grave, this shit crazy / I give all this shit back just to get you back.”

The vulnerability continues as Offset raps, “Can’t trust these n-ggas, fuck ’em, how I’m supposed to get over you? / Ain’t been the same ’cause this pain fuck up everything.”

In recent interviews, Offset shared that he and Quavo have begun reconciling, hinting at the possibility of releasing new music together as a tribute to Takeoff. During a conversation with Ebro on Apple Music, Offset expressed willingness to reunite creatively, saying, “It’s possible. No conversations about that, though, but it’s possible. First, we’re just checking in with each other and see each other’s worlds: ‘You good?’”

Offset admitted his own role in the tensions between himself and Quavo. “I’ve accepted the actions I’ve done to cause certain situations to happen — I had to. But at first I didn’t. I was trying to act tough and like I didn’t give a fuck at first. But the actions that I did in the time I was acting that way, I realized I was wrong. I realized I was wrong and had to get out of the way. I’m happy with everything and I want the best.”

According to Offset’s recent remarks during an interview for “7PM In Brooklyn”, their relationship is in one of the best places it’s been in a while. He emphasized how external narratives often try to stir up controversy: “It be the internet trying to do some old shit, but with us, it ain’t about that. We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime.”

Despite any past differences, Offset reaffirmed their loyalty to one another: “In the day, a n-gga ain’t finna play with him, or a n-gga ain’t finna play with me.”
