Kendrick Lamar has secured his second Emmy win.

The artist, along with music director Tony Russell, earned the Creative Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction for their performance during the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

This remarkable achievement placed them alongside other highly recognized nominees, such as The Kennedy Center Honors, The Oscars, and both SNL’s 50th-anniversary special and homecoming show.

The Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show headlined by Kendrick Lamar shattered records, becoming the most-watched halftime show in NFL history with an audience of 133.5 million viewers. He was joined on stage by notable guests including Samuel L. Jackson, SZA, Serena Williams, and Mustard.

This marks Lamar’s second Emmy win, with his first awarded in 2022 for his part in Dr. Dre’s Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, which earned the accolade for Outstanding Variety Special (Live), alongside musical director Adam Blackstone.
