Nicki Minaj has found herself at the center of controversy in recent months, culminating in the creation of a Change.org petition urging her deportation to Trinidad.
The petition has garnered widespread attention online, quickly gaining momentum as people weigh in on the rapper’s actions and public persona.
The petition, which has now reached nearly 70,000 signatures, claims Minaj should no longer remain in the United States due to her alleged behavior and public statements.
Shared under the username “Pedonika Minaj,” the petition’s creator accuses her of numerous actions, including harassment of Beyoncé and Jay-Z (referred to as “the Carters”) and her marriage to Kenneth Petty, a registered sex offender.
According to its description, the petition alleges that Minaj is “spiraling out of control” and “seems to be experiencing psychosis.”
It further criticizes her continued public support of Petty, stating: “Despite the gravity of his past actions, Minaj continues to fiercely defend [Petty], reportedly going as far as intimidating and threatening his victims. Such actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for the law and for the safety of others.”
This movement follows Minaj’s public appearance at Turning Point USA, where she expressed her admiration for President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.
Speaking at the event, Minaj praised the administration, saying: “This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them. Our vice president, he makes me … well, I love both of them. Both of them have a very uncanny ability to be someone that you relate to.”
Her comments sparked significant backlash from fans and public figures alike, including Joe Budden, who publicly distanced himself after her political remarks.
Beyond politics, the petition’s claims about her feud with the Carters have drawn attention as well. Minaj has previously accused Jay-Z of blackballing attempts and alleged that he owes her $20 million through her equity stake in TIDAL. These ongoing disputes have fueled criticism of her demeanor in both professional and personal spheres.
Meanwhile, Minaj’s relationship with Kenneth Petty continues to spark debate. The couple recently marked their sixth wedding anniversary. In 2024, celebrating five years together, Minaj shared a heartfelt Instagram post reflecting on their bond: “24 years after we first met. Love at first sight. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for catching me…every single time. Thank you for our little BFF (referring to their son).”
As discussions surrounding the petition intensify, it remains a polarizing development in an already tumultuous period for Minaj’s public image.
