A new album featuring Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux is on the horizon, and fans have already been treated to a sneak peek with the release of a track from the project.
The Instagram account for Nipsey’s Marathon Clothing brand shared the track on February 13, accompanied by the caption: “Reckless. The first single from Prolific, the collaborative album by @nipseyhussle and @binorideaux. Dropping this summer.”
The song, titled “Reckless,” showcases Nipsey embracing his self-awareness and talent. He raps, “Doubt who I was for a second, now I see it clearer and it is not a game.” West Coast crooner Bino comes in on the track with his melodic rhymes, “‘Cause I been off that soda, make it hard to sleep, it’s a lot on my shoulders.”

Nipsey and Bino have a longstanding musical partnership, having collaborated on their 2017 project “No Pressure,” which included tracks like “None of This” and “Blueprint” featuring Dave East. It’s speculated that parts of their upcoming album might include material recorded during those sessions.
Since Nipsey’s untimely passing on March 31, 2019, when he was tragically shot outside his Marathon Clothing store, new music from the late rapper has surfaced sporadically.
Two months after his death, DJ Khaled released the inspirational track “Higher,” featuring Nipsey and John Legend. In 2021, Nipsey posthumously appeared alongside Jay-Z on “What It Feels Like,” a standout track from the “Judas And The Black Messiah” soundtrack.
Nipsey’s final solo release before his death, “Racks in the Middle,” a collaboration with Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy, earned him a posthumous Grammy Award in 2020 for Best Rap Performance.
Fans can look forward to Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux’s “Prolific” album set to drop this summer, keeping Nipsey’s legacy alive through his music.
