Pooh Shiesty‘s father is set to be released from federal custody following his arrest in connection with an alleged robbery and kidnapping incident involving Gucci Mane.

Based on a report from Action News 5 dated May 28, a judge granted bond for Lontrell Williams Sr. during a hearing held on May 27. This decision will allow him to be released while the case against him, Pooh Shiesty, and seven others remains under review in a Texas federal court.

The incident, which took place on January 10 at a Dallas music studio, allegedly involved Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30, and several other men. Prosecutors claim they masterminded a plan to lure Gucci Mane to the studio under the pretense of discussing business and recording music.

During the session, authorities allege that Pooh Shiesty brandished an automatic firearm and forced Gucci Mane to sign a release form at gunpoint. Simultaneously, other members of the group reportedly stripped multiple victims, including Gucci Mane, of their cash and jewelry.

At a hearing conducted on April 8, the FBI disclosed that Gucci Mane provided a statement to law enforcement regarding the alleged crimes. Subsequently, Pooh Shiesty and others were arrested in April following a search of the Memphis home owned by Pooh’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., in Tennessee.

Both Pooh Shiesty — whose birth name is Lontrell Williams Jr. — and Big30 (Rodney Wright Jr.) have pleaded not guilty to the charges and remain in custody after their bail was revoked.

The federal trial for all nine defendants is scheduled for July 6. If convicted on all counts, the individuals involved could face life sentences.
