13 years after their infamous online clash, Katy Perry and Chief Keef have surprisingly teamed up for a track.

The pop star enlisted Sosa for a remix of “Legendary Lovers (Save Me),” which recently became available on streaming platforms.

Earlier this week, Perry teased the collaboration with a playful TikTok post, attempting to “summon” Chief Keef. Shortly after, footage surfaced showing the two artists working together in the studio. Perry later shared another clip, essentially confirming Sosa’s involvement with the remix.

Hearing the Chicago drill icon lay down bars over a Max Martin-produced track is something no one likely saw coming this year.

“You got a job interview, hope it goes smooth/ Come back home and tell me how you do/ Here’s some money, baby, I’m so proud of you/ She gon’ go and get it, that’s my type of b—h/ She make me turn up for her like Yabba Dabba Doo,” he raps while Perry holds down the ad-libs.

“Legendary Lovers” originally landed on Perry’s “Prism” album in 2013, and was repackaged as part of her “The Ones That Got The Plays” compilation, which arrived earlier in May and debuted at #117 on the Billboard 200.

The viral feud between Sosa and Katy Perry can be traced back to 2013, when Katy ignited tensions by expressing her distaste upon hearing Chief Keef’s track “Hate Bein’ Sober,” featuring Wiz Khalifa and 50 Cent, play on the radio.

“Just heard a new song on the radio called ‘I Hate Being Sober’ and I have serious doubt for the world,” she tweeted at the time.

The Chicago native didn’t shy away from delivering a bold, NSFW response on Twitter, getting combative and even threatening to slap the pop star. There were also talks of releasing a Katy Perry diss track, though it never came to fruition.

Perry later apologized. “Mr. Keef! I’m sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & didn’t even know it was you in particular,” she wrote on Twitter.

“I’m a fan of your ‘Don’t Like’ video tbh. I was really just having a general opinion on our generations [sic] desire to be constantly intoxicated.”

Sosa also said he was sorry for how he lashed out during their interaction. “Oh I’m Sorry Too Then,” he replied.
