Megan Thee Stallion will need to clear some space in her trophy room, as she recently received nine new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America.
According to the RIAA’s website, Megan’s chart-topping hit “Savage” has now reached 6x Platinum status. Meanwhile, her tracks “Body” and “Girls in the Hood” have both achieved triple-Platinum recognition.
Additionally, the Yuki Chiba collaboration “Mamushi,” which made it to number 36 on the Hot 100, has earned a Platinum certification.
A number of gold plaques are also on the horizon for Megan. Her album Act II has gone Gold, along with tracks like “Cobra,” “BOA,” “Bigger in Texas,” and “Roc Steady” featuring Flo Milli.
In response to this success, the 31-year-old rapper shared the news on her Instagram Story, accompanied by a series of CD emojis.
Cardi B Praises Megan For Achieving First Diamond Plaque
Earlier on August 3, Megan Thee Stallion celebrated earning her first Diamond plaque for the 2020 hit “WAP” with Cardi B. This track topped the Hot 100 for four weeks and marks Cardi B’s fourth Diamond certification.
“Awww y’all WAP just went diamond… me and @theestallion really did that!! Love y’all so much… thank you for streaming and making history with us #WAP,” Cardi wrote on X at the time.
Megan replied, “WOWW omg diamond sisterrr thank you for having me!”
The Houston Hottie is now focusing on “Act III”, teasing fans with the revival of her Tina Snow persona in the forthcoming LP.
