Foogiano is taking his feud with Gucci Mane to another level.

The Atlanta rapper has unleashed a fiery new diss track, “The Misunderstood Truth,” delivering pointed accusations and reigniting tensions surrounding his former label boss and the troubled 1017 Records camp.

Released after Foogiano’s return from prison earlier this year, the track marks another chapter in an increasingly bitter fallout. His relationship with Gucci appears to have deteriorated significantly, particularly after Foogiano publicly showed support for fellow former 1017 artist Pooh Shiesty.

The controversy is no longer just about music. It raises uncomfortable questions about loyalty, artist treatment, and what happens when relationships inside a major hip-hop label collapse.

Foogiano Takes Direct Aim at Gucci Mane

On “The Misunderstood Truth,” Foogiano saves some of his sharpest shots for the final two verses. He addresses allegations of snitching directed at Gucci, accusations that Gucci and his loved ones have denied.

The rapper also appears frustrated with how Pooh Shiesty and other 1017 artists were treated, particularly regarding financial support and assistance during legal difficulties.

This isn’t Foogiano’s first attempt to address the situation. His previous releases, “Halfway In” and “Halfway Out,” also contained subtle shots at Gucci. However, the latest record sounds considerably more confrontational.

The accompanying music video makes the message even harder to ignore. Foogiano dances on a 1017 logo, buries a chain associated with the label, and breaks the logo’s ice. It’s a deliberately provocative statement that looks more like a public breakup than a conventional music video.

Will Gucci Mane Finally Respond?

Gucci has yet to publicly respond to the latest musical attacks. Meanwhile, his album “Against All Odds” presents a celebration of his wealth, influence, and legacy amid the growing controversy.

With Pooh Shiesty’s trial currently scheduled for February 22, 2027, the situation could become even more complicated.

For now, Foogiano has made his position unmistakably clear. Whether Gucci responds with music, silence, or something else entirely remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: the fractures inside the 1017 family are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
