Controversial rapper Boosie Badazz was nearly killed in Dallas, Texas, just a few days after his good friend Mo3 was murdered in the same city.
The Louisiana rapper was reportedly in Dallas to pay respects to Mo3, after he was fatally shot on I-35 earlier this week. The shootout occurred at Big T, a popular shopping center/flea market in the city.
It’s not clear who fired at who, but many believe that Boosie was the target of a potential assassination.
Few details have been released about Saturday’s (Nov. 14) shooting, but sources confirmed that Boosie was treated at a hospital just after 2 p.m. after being shot in the leg while in a car near the Big T Plaza strip mall in Central Oak Cliff.
A group of gunmen pulled up near the rapper’s Sprinter van and opened fire. The men appeared to be trying to murder Boosie, according to spectators. Members of the Dallas Police Department reportedly reached the scene after both Boosie and the shooters had fled.
Police say there isn’t any evidence that connects the two shootings.
