Jeezy became the latest guest to deliver a “Tiny Desk Concert,” which found the Snowman flanked by a group of violins, guitars and keyboards with Howard University students filling the room.
The South Carolina rapper takes his career from the βBottom Of The Mapβ to NPR Musicβs “Tiny Desk” in the latest episode.
βIf you been riding with me since day one. Iβma take you on a journey,β he shared before the performance began. βIf you stick with your dreams and stay about your business, you can get anywhere. Yβall ready?β
During the concert, the 46-year-old also reflected on his come-up.
ββStanding Ovationβ was something special to me because when I walked on that stage for the first time and got recognized for something I love, I couldnβt believe God was so good coming from my circumstances,β he shared. βAnd to see people applauding me for what I had been through meant the world, and thatβs why I kept going and why Iβm here today.β
The Atlanta trap pioneer moved into more dope boy “TM:101” anthems with a soothing live band twist, such as βAnd Then Whatβ and the Jay-Z-assisted βGo Crazy.β
