The ongoing discussions about Drake show no signs of slowing down, with fans and peers firmly rallying behind the rap superstar despite the divisive reception to his newest projects.

Recently, Drake debuted “ICEMAN”, “HABIBTI”, and “MAID OF HONOUR”, a trio of albums met with mixed reactions. While die-hard supporters praised them as a masterful trifecta, others were less enthusiastic.

Regardless of differing opinions, the success is undeniable — breaking records and dominating charts once again proves that Drake remains at the pinnacle of the game.

Among those voicing their support for Drizzy is Jim Jones. In a recent appearance on “The Danza Project”, Jones didn’t hold back in expressing his admiration for Drake, highlighting his lyrical prowess.

“The whole battle with Kendrick and people were like, ‘Where’s Drake at?’… I’m happy for that brother. When you playin’ on that level, it’s expected. I’m not surprised. When you got a pen game like he got a pen game, it’s kinda hard to fail out here. It’s a different level. Shout out to Drake. Shout out to the whole OVO family. Shout out to Kendrick. Shout out to both of them. But shout out to my boy Drizzy.”

He mentioned a few artists he believes had the potential to release three albums and still capture attention in the same vein as Drake. Reflecting on their prime years, he felt that Jay-Z and Tupac Shakur definitely possessed that level of influence.

However, he admitted that he couldn’t think of any contemporary artists who could generate a similar impact. Jones clarified that this wasn’t meant as a critique or discredit to his fellow artists’ achievements. When one of the hosts brought up Tory Lanez as a possibility, Jones couldn’t support that idea.

“I love Tory,” said Jones. “Whatever album he gone put out is gon’ spank and slap. But three albums, Tory right now? We haven’t seen him. He ain’t got no motion. It’s just a different — the power that Drake had, the marketing behind it, and the strategies behind it, the innuendos. It’s just a lot.”
