About a week ago, Quavo dropped his first solo track of the year entitled “Himothy,” produced by Buddha Bless.
In the accompanied music video, the former Migos rapper positions himself at the top of his city. The confident anthem finds the Atlanta representative rapping the boastful track, commanding the microphone on top of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
“In the same breath, I can show ’em how to scam American Express/ I’m tired of you talkin’ ’bout him, please, let my nephew rest/ Since ain’t nobody doin’ nothin’, sh*t, f*ck it, all of ’em gettin’ pressed/ Shut it down, baby shut it down, Huncho, shut it down, it’s a mess,” the chart-topping entertainer raps.
“Himothy” is a popular term with the Generation Alpha kids. It describes the feeling you get when you know your talented.
Quavo took some well-earned time off this winter after releasing his long-awaited solo album, “Rocket Power,” in August of last year, which featured posthumous rhymes from Takeoff as well as features from Future, Young Thug, Hunxho, BabyDrill and others.
