There seems to be a serious beef between Rick Ross and his number one MMG artist Meek Mill.
Over the past weekend, Meek Mill celebrated his 34th birthday at LIV nightclub in Miami. While Tekashi 6ix9ine was banned from entering the club for obvious reasons, his Maybach Music Group boss was also reportedly not welcome at the birthday bash and was denied access to Meek’s VIP section.
According to sources, the situation was tense for a while as Meek’s security team and Ross’ people were exchanging words, but luckily there was no violence. It has been reported that Meek was heard yelling at Ross, “Get out fat boy!”
DJ Akademiks was first to report the rumor during a Twitch livestream, where he revealed that two unnamed artists recently had it out at a party.
There is an artist that’s signed to another artist. The artist that’s signed to another artist, they were having a party. The artist they’re signed to allegedly tried to enter the party and go about certain places, and I heard that there was a big issue. One of your favorite artists who’s claiming that they’re ‘lit,’ they’re a ‘boss,’ they do ‘whatever’ — they’re signed to another n*gga.
He added,
And allegedly, they’re beefing with the other n*gga cuz they’re tryna get off the label. I hear they want off the label. This been a ongoing conversation. The n*gga who they’re signed to showed up to their party, [and] they were not happy. When that person showed up, there was issues.
Details of their alleged beef remain unclear. Neither Meek nor Ross have addressed the report yet but according to sources, Ross wants Meek to finish out the terms he agreed to when he signed his contract.
Meek has been signed to Ross’ Maybach Music Group (MMG) since 2011, when Mill’s debut album, “Dreams and Nightmares,” was released in 2012 under MMG and Warner Bros. Records. The album, which was heavily pushed by Rick Ross, preceded by the lead single “Amen (ft. Drake),” debuted at #57 on the Billboard 200.
