Nicki Minaj has released her first solo single of 2023 entitled “Red Ruby Da Sleeze”.

Clocking in at approximately 3,5 minutes, the song features production work from Go Grizzly and Cheeze Beats. “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” samples Lumidee’s chart hit “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)” and hears the Harajuku Barbie refer to her 2018 Street Fighter-inspired cut “Chun Li” while touching on how she stays as #1 regardless of not releasing anything since her album “Queen” in 2018.

“Red Ruby Da Sleeze” is Nicki Minaj’s first solo release since 2022’s “Super Freaky Girl,” which gave her her first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marked the first time since 1998 that a Hip-Hop song by a solo female artist debuted at #1.
