Childish Gambino has announced his final album under the moniker “Bando Stone & The New World,” releasing July 19.
After revealing the trailer for his “Bando Stone & The New World” film at the 2024 BET Awards, the California-born artist has now given his sixth studio album of the same name an official release date. The film sees him starring as the title character who meanders through an empty world before stumbling upon a mother and her son.

Donald Glover has been teasing the end of his Childish Gambino moniker since 2017.
Gambino has released his first single “Lithonia,” named after a city just east of Atlanta, where his TV show is set, from the forthcoming project. Co-produced by Gambino himself alongside legends Max Martin, Ludwig Göransson and Michael Uzowuru, “Lithonia” hit streaming services on Tuesday (July 2).
Glover’s previously announced his “New World” tour begins August 11 at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center. The tour continues through the rest of 2024 in North America and Europe, and into Australia and New Zealand in 2025. WILLOW and Aamarae will open.
