Eminem‘s anticipated album entitled “The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)” is set to release this Friday (July 12) and he recently unveiled the full tracklist.
“The Death Of Slim Shady” is the Detroit rapper’s fourth studio album in over four years. The LP consists of 19 tracks that will delve into the psyche of Eminem’s long-time alter ego, Slim Shady.
Widely known as his alter ego, the album appears to be the rapper’s final project before retiring the image. The album’s cover art features Slim Shady’s head emerging from a body bag in what seems to be a metaphor for the end of one era and the beginning of another.
The tracklist hints at a mix of sequels to Eminem classics and new riffs on earlier song ideas. “Guilty Conscience 2” seems to be an extension of the iconic Dr. Dre collaboration from 1999.
Ahead of the new album, Eminem most recently released the record’s second single, “Tobey”, featuring Big Sean and BabyTron. It follows on from “Houdini”, which was released on May 31.
Eminem’s last studio album, “Music to Be Murdered By”, was released in January 2020.
