The mother of late rapper FBG Duck filed an explosive lawsuit that implicates Lil Durk and his protege King Von in her son’s gang-related killing in 2020.

The civil lawsuit, filed on Wednesday (October 9) in Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of Duck’s mother, LaSheena Weekly, and two injured bystanders, accuses the defendants of civil conspiracy, wrongful death, negligence, battery, assault, emotional distress, and other charges.

FBG Duck was gunned down by a group of masked men as he waited to enter the Dolce & Gabbana store. His girlfriend, Cashae Williams, and another man, Davon Brinson, were also wounded in the attack and named as plaintiffs in the suit.

In the 92-count suit, Lil Durk and OTF (Only The Family) are accused of operating as a criminal enterprise, orchestrating a campaign of intimidation and placing a bounty on Duck’s life. It alleges that OTF’s leadership used their platform to eliminate rivals in a bid to control Chicago’s drill rap scene, known for its association with real-life gang activity.

According to the suit, Durk and labels were aware Von “had a vendetta against FBG Duck … and consistently sought to build a brand of violence and reality rap, based on committing real acts of violence on FBG Duck and the public at large. They understood that reality rap, violence, controversy, beefs and notoriety were good for driving increased record sales, streams and views, for building a brand and profiting from a violent image.”

“Lil Durk and [his brother] DThang as corporate officers of OTF knew King Von placed a $100,000.00 bounty to kill FBG Duck and actively participated to have FBG Duck killed and/or to cover up the killing of FBG Duck,” the lawsuit alleged.

Several record labels were named as defendants. The lawsuit said Alamo Records, Sony Music and Universal Music Group “salivated in the profit garnered by the depiction and eventual killing of FBG Duck.”

FBG Duck and King Von had been in a bitter feud prior to Duck’s death, which resulted in numerous diss songs.
