J. Cole surprised Hip-Hop fans with the release of his debut mixtape entitled “The Come Up” hitting streaming services for the first time.

Hosted by DJ OnPoint, the classic mixtape arrived back in May 2007 and has never seen the light of day on DSPs before. The project boasts 17 tracks and includes early Cole World fan favorites like “School Daze,” “Simba” and “Dollar And A Dream.”

Cole self-produced 12 out of the 21 tracks on the mixtape, including his debut single, called “Simba”, for which Cole shot his first music video.

The mixtape also features the samples from Kanye West, Nas, Jay-Z and Ghostface Killah, among others, while the tape includes guest appearances from Deacon and Nervous Reck. Cole freestyles over three classic West beats, as well as Jay’s “Dead Presidents.”
