The wait is finally over!
1,540 days after his sophomore “Whole Lotta Red” album landed on Christmas Day in 2020, Playboi Carti is finally back with his much-delayed third studio album entitled “I Am Music.”
Clocking in at just a little over an hour, the anticipated project is loaded with star-studded features from the likes of Young Thug, Travis Scott, Future, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Lil Uzi Vert, Skepta and Ty Dolla $ign. While employing an impressive list of producers that included Cardo, Metro Boomin, Soutside, F1lthy, Ye, Cash Cobain, and production duo Ojivolta, among many others.
Known for his ever-evolving sound, the rapper has spent years crafting “I Am Music,” even recording a significant portion of the project in a cave-like studio in Paris.
Over the years, Carti previewed new songs including “Rockstar,” “Fuck on My DJ” and “Pop Out” during festival performances, and shared snippets of the tracks “Different Day,” “Skinny Jeans” and “Ketamine” on social media.
