Drake has been steadily gearing up for the release of what appears to be a new solo album titled “Iceman”, offering fans a glimpse of the tracks through a series of livestream sessions.
Following its teaser during the third episode of Drakeās “Iceman” streaming series last week, āDog Houseā has officially been released.
This new track sees the Canadian megastar joined by Yeat, a familiar collaborator, alongside Julia Wolf, an unexpected addition to the mix.
The most notable line on the song sees Drake take a not so subtle shot at his nemesis, Kendrick Lamar. Referencing the Compton superstarās eminently popular song āMoney Treesā, Drizzy raps: āFuck a money tree, Iām a cash cow / If I aināt give a fuck then, I donāt give a fuck now .ā
Building on the momentum of last weekās drop, āSomebody Lovews Me Pt. 2 (Remix)ā with Cash Cobain, āDog Houseā marks the third studio partnership between Drake and Yeat, after their previous collaborations on āIDGAFā and āAs We Speak.ā
The song opens with an emotional vibe as Julia Wolf delivers a poignant, guitar-driven melody, setting the stage before Drake takes over with a shift in the beat.
āShout out to her ex, he a crash out / Took too many pills, he a crash out,ā Drizzle begins on the chorus. āShe in Hidden Hills in a glass house/I like what I saw, and so I cashed out.ā
āDog Houseā is now streaming across all major platforms.
