NBA YoungBoy’s “Make America Slime Again (MASA) Tour” has reportedly brought in over $70 million, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Touring Data, a trusted source for live event statistics, revealed the details of YB’s first tour in five years. The “MASA Tour” is projected to rank among the top 10 highest-grossing rap tours in U.S. history. Spanning 42 shows across the nation, the tour has sold over 500,000 tickets, amassing impressive revenue.
The opening night in Dallas, at the American Airlines Center on September 1, set a personal record for the rapper, drawing a crowd of 14,846 — the largest turnout at any of his concerts to date.
Meanwhile, his September 27 performance at the Barclays Center in New York City achieved his highest single-event earnings, generating $1.9 million.
YB celebrated these accomplishments with his booking agent, Andrew Leiber, in a video shared on social media. In the clip, Leiber highlights the tour’s groundbreaking success, calling it “the highest-grossing tour in f*cking the country” and celebrating its placement among the top 10.
Despite its massive success, the tour hasn’t been without challenges. Performances in Chicago and Atlanta were canceled. At his September 21 show in Kansas City’s T-Mobile Center, a fan reportedly attacked a venue employee.
Additionally, heightened security measures were necessary for two New Orleans shows, where hundreds of extra police officers were deployed. The first show saw a brawl erupt in the audience, and on Bourbon Street, YB had to be escorted to safety after being swarmed by fans.
During the second show, fans without tickets attempted to force their way into the venue, resulting in a temporary lockdown.
The Louisiana rapper still has seven scheduled performances left before concluding the tour on November 12 in Seattle.
