The nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been revealed, with Kendrick Lamar once again taking the spotlight.

Riding high on the massive success of his album “GNX” and its series of chart-dominating singles, Kendrick has secured nine nominations, more than any other artist this year.

The celebrated artist from Compton is vying for recognition in all three of the prestigious “Big Three” categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. Notably, he clinched the latter two awards at this year’s Grammys with his explosive Drake diss track, “Not Like Us”.

In addition to being a standout contender in these major categories, Kendrick is a strong presence in all four hip-hop-specific awards: Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Melodic Rap Performance. He also earned a nod for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for his collaboration with SZA on “30 For 30”.

However, his path to victory won’t be without fierce competition. Key contenders this year include Clipse, Tyler, The Creator, JID, GloRilla, Cardi B, Doechii, and his well-known rival Drake, whose only nomination is in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category.
