Sean “Diddy” Combs has rejected reports from TMZ claiming he was caught consuming alcohol at Fort Dix.

A statement posted to the music mogul’s X account characterized the allegations as false.

“The rumors claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false,” reads the statement. “His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family.”

TMZ had reported on November 7 that Diddy was allegedly found in possession of homemade alcohol, reportedly made using Fanta, sugar, and apples. The outlet claimed prison authorities initially planned to move him to a different unit but later revoked the decision.

Following the release of the story, Diddy’s family spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, responded directly to TMZ with a clarifying statement.

“Mr. Combs is in his first week at FCI Fort Dix and is focused on adjusting, working on himself, and doing better each day,” said Engelmayer.

“As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there—most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”

These allegations surfaced after Diddy informed a judge during his sentencing that he was sober for the first time in 25 years.

His legal representatives had also specifically requested his placement at Fort Dix, citing its suitability for addressing substance abuse, maintaining family connections, and supporting rehabilitation efforts.
