The Game has become a talking point after seemingly sending a subtle warning to Adin Ross regarding his return to Los Angeles, with many online linking the comment to Ross’s recent critique of Kendrick Lamar.

In a trending Instagram clip, N3on asked The Game about his relationship with Adin, mentioning that the Kick streamer planned to visit L.A. for new content. While The Game confirmed he’s fine with Ross, he emphasized one crucial requirement.

“Adin’s got to check in first,” The Game said. “It seems like he’s coming out here and he’s thinking he gon’ do what he want to do. But this is L.A.”

Social media quickly lit up following the comment. Although Kendrick Lamar wasn’t directly named in the exchange, fans connected it to Ross’s ongoing criticism of the rapper over the previous month.

During Kendrick’s back-and-forth with Drake, Ross labeled him overrated and ridiculed his music during streams. These remarks drew backlash from Kendrick’s dedicated Los Angeles fan base, who made it clear they were far from entertained.

As a Compton native and vocal supporter of L.A. artists, The Game seemed to mirror that sentiment. His “check in” remark evoked the well-known cultural norms within L.A. hip-hop circles: outsiders throwing shade at respected local figures should proceed cautiously when entering the city.
