The documentary “In Whose Name?”, which explores the life and career of Kanye West, is now available for streaming following its theatrical release on September 19.

Viewers can access the film on video-on-demand platforms like Apple, Amazon, Google, YouTube, and Fandango.

Filmed over a span of six years and built from thousands of hours of footage, the documentary delves into key moments from Kanye’s career. It also addresses his mental health challenges and the controversies that have followed him over time.

Director Nico Ballesteros shared insights about the project and its creation, reflecting on the transformative personal journey it became for him.

“At just 18, I was barely out of high school when my life changed overnight,” Ballesteros said, per Deadline. “I went from a middle-class upbringing to flying on private jets, shadowing one of the most famous people alive. I had studied documentary filmmaking but didn’t yet have a subject. Ye became that subject. His world gave me both purpose and a space to develop my craft. ‘In Whose Name?’ is the culmination of that journey.”

Ballesteros expressed gratitude for the film’s reception, saying: “I am humbled at the reception this movie has gotten from audiences, critics, and my peers in the filmmaking community.”

“By extending its reach beyond the theater, the film brings its exploration of American belief, power and identity to a global audience, offering a deeper understanding of America’s conditions while illuminating the life and legacy of one of the most iconic entertainers of our time.”
