50 Cent is stepping into the spotlight with a three-part documentary coming to Hulu, shifting his focus from telling others’ stories to sharing his own.
The series aims to chronicle 50 Cent’s journey from his challenging upbringing in Queens to his rise as a global rap icon, business magnate, and powerhouse in Hollywood through his G-Unit Film & Television division.
The narrative promises an intimate and revealing look at his life, showcasing how he transformed personal struggles and conflicts into a lasting cultural legacy.
While the documentary doesn’t yet have an official title, Mandon Lovett, known for directing “The French Montana Story: For Khadija”, is set to helm the project. In addition to 50 Cent, Patrick Altem will serve as an executive producer.
Beyond this venture, 50 Cent continues to dominate the entertainment industry as an executive producer for Starz’s hit series “Power”. He is also gearing up to play Balrog in the upcoming “Street Fighter” reboot, a role that will see him performing his own stunts.
To top it all off, he’s slated to contribute to the film’s soundtrack and has hinted at bringing Eminem aboard for the project.
“I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter,” 50 wrote alongside a promo poster for the film in December. “New Music on the way!”
“Street Fighter” is scheduled to hit theaters in the U.S. on October 16.
