Cassie, now happily settled abroad with her husband and children, finds herself embroiled in ongoing legal troubles.
Clayton Howard, a former male escort, has filed a lawsuit against both Cassie and Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging instances of physical and psychological abuse.
Howard asserts involvement in a sexual relationship with the pair and claims that while Cassie was a victim herself, she also played a role in orchestrating Diddy’s notorious “freak-offs.”
Recently, Howard appeared in a video ranting about Cassie and the case, claiming she “created a dedicated campaign to stalk, harass, and discredit me.”
He continued, “Her motion to dismiss attacks me on the timeliness of the allegations, stating now ‘it’s too late to charge her.'”
On June 12, TMZ reported that Cassie’s legal team submitted a letter to the judge alleging that Howard has been making threats against her.
They note that in Howard’s video, he said, “B*tch, I’m going to burn you with fire” and “You want to play stupid games, you can win stupid prizes.”
Cassie claims that Howard is harassing her, and her attorneys argue that these comments “constitute true threats of violence,” says TMZ.
Howard also called Cassie a “whore,” an action they interpret as victim-blaming within a public effort to allegedly discredit or intimidate her. They are seeking the judge’s intervention to prevent Howard from discussing the case or reaching out to her going forward.
Howard has openly discussed his experiences in interviews and on social media, where he has detailed his purported encounters with Cassie and Diddy. The two were in a relationship for over a decade, and Howard alleged that he had intimate encounters with the singer multiple times.
He has often made disparaging remarks about Cassie, including using demeaning language to describe her. Yet, in a text message to her husband, Alex Fine, he appeared to express support for her during Diddy’s trial prior to filing his lawsuit.
