Ken Carson has revealed his latest project, “xperiment”, set to be released on July 3 via Opium/Interscope Records.
The announcement was paired with the debut of a short film that offers fans a glimpse into what’s to come.
This news caps off an exciting week for the Atlanta-born rapper. During Summer Smash in Chicago, Carson joined Playboi Carti on stage during Carti’s festival-closing performance to unveil their unreleased track “Cover My Ears,” much to the crowd’s delight.
“xperiment” serves as the follow-up to “More Chaos”, Carson’s 2025 album that debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 59,500 equivalent album units — his first foray into the Top 10.
The achievement also saw him unseat his own label founder, Playboi Carti, at the top spot. Prior to this, Carson released “A Great Chaos” in 2023, which peaked at #11, and “X” in 2022, which landed at #115.
The success of “More Chaos” was further propelled by “Off the Meter,” a surprise bonus track featuring Carson alongside Playboi Carti and Destroy Lonely in their first-ever official collaboration.
