BigXThaPlug has made a name for himself at the intersection of hip-hop and country music, gaining popularity as one of its leading figures.

However, his journey hasn’t been without challenges, including some legal hurdles over the past year. The Texas rapper has pleaded guilty to a gun charge related to an August 2025 arrest in Dallas. Consequently, he has been given a six-month deferred adjudication sentence.

Additionally, he is required to give up his rights to the firearm discovered during the arrest. This outcome could be considered favorable, as court documents reveal that as long as he completes his sentence without further incidents, the conviction will be erased from his record.

The timing of his arrest was particularly inconvenient, coinciding with the lead-up to an anticipated album release party. He was stopped by police in Dallas when they observed his vehicle missing a front license plate.

During the search, he informed officers about the firearm in the car. Complicating matters was a criminal database linking him to gangs in Arlington, which legally prohibited him from possessing a weapon.

BigXThaPlug’s Legal Troubles

Despite BigXThaPlug’s recent run-in with the law, he still faces additional legal matters. Just last week, he was arrested in Texas during a traffic stop in Allen. He was taken into custody on charges of driving under the influence, possessing marijuana, and unlawfully carrying a firearm.

After spending some time in the Collin County Jail, he was released and later made an appearance by performing at the Iowa State Fair the next day.
