Diddy‘s potential release from prison is now projected for February 5, 2028, as confirmed recently by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
This new date comes with a slight advancement from the previously updated date of February 20, 2028. The earlier extension followed an altercation with another inmate in July, shifting the date from January 24, 2028.
His release schedule has been experiencing multiple adjustments. Initially slated for May 8, 2028, his 50-month sentence had been shifted due to rule violations, bringing it to June 4, 2028.
Subsequent revisions brought it to April 15, 2028, then to February 23, 2028, and later adjusted to January 24, 2028, before being altered to February 20, 2028. With this latest modification, the date has now changed six times.
Diddy Gets Two Weeks Shaved Off Sentence
In October 2025, Diddy received a 50-month prison sentence after being found guilty on charges related to prostitution. His legal team is contesting the sentencing as disproportionately harsh, especially since the jury acquitted him of serious racketeering allegations.
Diddy’s legal issues might continue beyond this case. According to TMZ, Steve Wolfson, the Clark County District Attorney, stated that prosecutors haven’t dismissed the possibility of charging Diddy in Tupac Shakur’s murder but acknowledged that there currently isn’t sufficient evidence.
Wolfson made these remarks following Duane ‘Keefe D’ Davis’s conviction in connection with Tupac’s fatal shooting in 1996. The trial has renewed speculation about Diddy’s involvement after recordings were presented of Keefe claiming Diddy had proposed $1 million to have both Tupac and Suge Knight eliminated.
Keefe asserted that Diddy wanted them “out of the way” and claimed they discussed these intentions on several occasions.
