Shekema “Queen Kema” Springfield, the mother of King Von‘s son, accused OTF Vonnie of being deceitful and fraudulent during her testimony at Lil Durk’s murder-for-hire trial.

During the trial in Los Angeles, Springfield testified that she did not see Durk at the house where King Von’s memorial took place and that there were no discussions about avenging Von’s death during the three-day gathering.

This statement stands in contradiction to Vonnie’s testimony, where he claimed that he and Durk discussed seeking retribution for Von’s demise at the house.

According to Taylor Parise, a reporter from Los Angeles Magazine covering the trial, Springfield, a U.S. Army veteran with a decade of service, stated that King Von and OTF Vonnie (real name Kavon Grant) were extremely close, spending nearly every day together.

Springfield Challenge OTF Vonnie’s Explanation

Their closeness was such that Vonnie managed King Von’s financial matters, as per Springfield’s account.

Parise added that the defense hinted at an allegation that Vonnie embezzled $300,000 from a trust designated for King Von’s son. However, this line of questioning was objected to in court and not pursued further.

Furthermore, Springfield reportedly mentioned that when she inquired about the identity of King Von’s killer, Vonnie assured her “not to worry about it,” promising to “take care of it.”

Several witnesses for Lil Durk’s defense gave testimonies before the defense concluded their case. It was confirmed by defense attorneys that neither Durk nor his co-defendants, OTF Dede and Browneyez, would testify.
