Renowned singer d4vd has been taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, according to a report from TMZ.
The arrest, carried out by detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division, took place on Tuesday (April 14). Current reports indicate that d4vd is being held without an option for bail, and authorities have yet to release a comprehensive public statement beyond what has been disclosed through insider sources.
The incident traces back to September 2025, when Celeste’s body was found inside a Tesla reportedly linked to the artist.
The vehicle had been left parked in the Hollywood Hills for several days before being towed to an impound lot on September 5. Three days later, officials responding to reports of a strong odor made the grim discovery inside the vehicle.
At the time of the incident, d4vd was engaged in a performance tour but chose to cancel his remaining appearances and withdraw from the public eye as investigations progressed.
It’s further reported by TMZ that detectives have been meticulously building their case for months. A grand jury was convened in November, with Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman presenting evidence.
Testimonies were reportedly given by several individuals connected to the artist, including his manager and a close associate.
Investigators also suspect that a late-night visit d4vd made to an isolated area in Santa Barbara earlier in 2025 may be tied to the timeline of Celeste’s disappearance.
Sources suggest there may have been some form of relationship between the two, though no concrete details have been confirmed publicly at this stage.
