Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is being sued by Monique Mayers, a former senior operations executive who worked with him for over 12 years.
The lawsuit alleges wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, and witness intimidation.
Mayers, who managed operations across 50 Cent’s business ventures, including G-Unit Film & Television, claims she experienced professional and personal targeting after declining to take part in illegal activities during Jackson’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2015.
Among the allegations are that Mayers refused demands from Jackson to obscure property ownership under her own name and file a fraudulent police report against his driver/bodyguard, Bajar Walters, accusing him of stealing a vehicle and $600,000 in cash.
Her lawsuit asserts she was terminated in 2019 as a retaliatory act following these refusals. Additionally, Mayers alleges significant professional damage, including a retracted Forbes feature highlighting her career achievements.
Between 2019 and April 2026, she claims to have faced targeted harassment through over 80 phone calls and text messages originating from at least 25 different phone numbers. Mayers believes this was part of an intimidation campaign orchestrated by Jackson.
Mayers’ attorney, Bennitta Joseph, issued a statement highlighting the serious ramifications of the rapper’s alleged conduct.
“Curtis Jackson has cultivated a public persona as ’50 Cent’ built on highly publicized feuds and attacks on former associates, but as alleged in the complaint, this conduct is not performance, and it has real‑world consequences,” says Mayers’ attorney, Bennitta Joseph.
“Mr. Jackson’s actions have caused serious harm to personal and professional lives and, in Ms. Mayers’ case, created a sustained and credible fear for her safety. The complaint details a pattern of conduct designed to intimidate, punish, and silence those who refuse to comply with Jackson’s demands,” the statement concludes.
Monique Mayers is requesting a jury trial and pursuing a permanent injunction against 50 Cent to prohibit him and his associates from engaging in intimidation, harassment, or retaliation against her. Additionally, she is seeking unspecified damages and reimbursement for her attorney fees.
