Sean “Diddy” Combs, the once-prominent rap mogul, has had his federal prison sentence reduced for the second time, pushing his release date even closer.
Diddy is now set to leave New Jersey’s FCI Fort Dix on February 23, 2028. Originally sentenced to 50 months in prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution in July of the previous year, his release was initially expected on June 4, 2028.
However, his sentence was first reduced by 40 days in March, moving the date up to April 25, 2028. With this latest adjustment, an additional two months have been trimmed from his time behind bars.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not provide a specific reason for this latest reduction, citing its policy of not discussing individual confinement conditions or release plans. Still, they acknowledged that reductions can result from factors such as good behavior, participation in approved rehabilitation programs, or time served prior to sentencing.
Despite the updated release schedule, Diddy continues to face significant legal battles. He is entangled in numerous civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct, with a new case filed earlier this month.
On June 9, an anonymous former child actor accused him of sexual assault, alleging that Diddy performed inappropriate acts on him when he was still a minor.
The plaintiff, referred to as John Doe in the lawsuit, claims that he met Diddy at a Hollywood networking event in 2007. According to Doe, Diddy invited him to a private conversation where he allegedly initiated inappropriate physical contact and performed oral sex.
Diddy’s legal team has vehemently denied all allegations. The case remains ongoing.
