Cardi B takes to the streets of Brooklyn in a vibrant and exciting video for her powerful single “AH HA.”
Released last month, this track marks her first musical offering since last year’s much-anticipated sophomore album, “Am I the Drama?”. The song, a club anthem, features fiery lyrics matched by Cardi’s bold and steamy fashion choices throughout the video.
The late summer heat sets the tone from the get-go, introduced with a scene showing an elderly man holding a massive newspaper headline that reads “¡QUE CALOR!” (“It’s so hot!”), alongside visuals of a golden string bikini waving on a clothesline next to a spinning fan, as temperatures surge beyond 100 degrees.
Twerk-Filled And Flashy Visuals
Cardi then makes her entrance, confidently striding down the avenue in a skin-tight red, black, and white crop top paired with matching booty shorts and a large Jesus piece. She stands on a stoop, rapping with attitude, “I just hold up my wrist, I’m like ‘Ah ha,’/ Broke! B–ch, you wish, I’m like, ‘Ah ha’/ I’m on my s–t.”
Her long jet-black hair flows as Cardi takes aim at her critics, male and female alike, include a pointed reference to the president: “I’ll give a ho exactly what she want in this b–ch/ Black trucks at the club, look like Trump in this b–ch (f–k him),” she delivers.
The energy ramps up at the beauty salon, where Cardi and her friends dance energetically while sitting under hair dryers with curlers in their hair. She then hops onto the back of a quad bike for a ride as four-wheelers invade the crosswalk. Her outfits continue to captivate, with one featuring knee-high pink leather boots paired with matching shorts and a leather bra alongside long lime green hair.
The heat really rises midway through when Cardi dons a red, white, and blue sling thong bikini with flame-red hair while posing on a quad in wheelie mode. She struts down the street confidently in a revealing thong ensemble. “Let me show off my ‘fit, I’m like ‘ah ha,’” Cardi asserts, making reference to Kash Doll, who makes a cameo appearance just as Cardi mentions sending the beat her way.
